Unveiling Scale Fusion's Story
Scale Fusion got it's start in the cheese industry working with scale systems to capture the data that the scale was weighing. It grew into taking over the user interface and from there grew into managing both the downstream side (orders, customers, pricing, invoicing), and upstream side (lot tracking, raw material inventory and tracing) to create a full featured system to manage inventory of both raw materials and finished goods, as well as providing food safety traceability one step forward and one step back.
Founding and Early Years
Scale Fusion starts by collecting scale data and creating inventory for order processing.
Scale Fusion takes over the user interface from the scale and starts managing the scale process.
Scale Fusion adds Data Manager to fully process orders, pricing, invoicing, and shipping.
Scale Fusion adds Lot Tracker to manage Raw Material inventory and be able to track Production Lots and Raw Materials used to produce Finished Goods.

The Scale Fusion Solution
The Scale Fusion System consists of three separate software programs. The first, Scale Fusion, runs on a pc and is integrated with hardware on the production floor and does the weighing and labeling functions, as well as capture inventory for finished goods. The second, Data Manager, processes Customers, Orders, Pricing, Test Results, Inventory, Shipping, and Invoicing. The third, Lot Tracker, is responsible for Raw Material Inventory and Lot Tracking of Usage of raw materials into the production process.

Lot Tracker
- Manages Raw Material Inventory

- Vendor Lots can be tracked for each Raw Material
Lot Tracker manages the Raw Material Inventory and can track on hand quantities by lot for each raw material. It manages the lot numbers for production lots and tracks raw material usage into each production lot. It ties the usage of raw materials into the production lots for tracability.
